Inconsistency in new exercise setup

Nick Monastiriotis 7 years ago updated by Carl Juneau, PhD 7 years ago 6

When I enter a new exercise of mine, it asks for a 6RM. If I ignore it (e.g., I'll test it next time I go to the gym) and click on this new exercise straight on the workout while in the gym, it still asks for what I have done in the last 3 workouts (and not the 6RM question, I mean).  Is this correct or a bug-like?

Hi Nick!

I've tested this on my iPhone 5 (I know you're on iOs) and I'm not getting the same behaviour. When I create a new exercise, and I tap outside the box so I don't enter any 6RM, the exercise actually disapears from the list.

Could you give me the exact steps you go through, so I can reproduce this? Like this:

My exercises >

Add my own >

Tap outside >

?

I'll also ask Christelle to test this on her iPhone and comment back here. Thx!

Hello guys,

I just tested it with my iphone 5s and for me it's the same as Carl.

OK, so I go to Exercises --> Add my own --> I name the exercise --> It asks for a 6RM --> I click on Cancel (tap outside doesn't do anything) --> I go back to Workouts --> More & Edit on the Workout I want to enter the new exercise --> I 'open' the new exercise to enter it --> I save the workout --> I click on this workout and click on the new exercise --> It asks for the previous 3 sessions (weight and reps).

I typed these as I was going through the steps one by one, just to be sure. I've got iPhone 5s, so not sure why it does that to me, lol!

This came up when I entered a new exercise, but I actually wanted to test the 6RM next time I was in the gym...

I hope this is more clear now!

Cheers!

I've been able to reproduce the bug. In fact, I had the same bug yesterday at the gym. Here's the catch:

If you open the new exercise in the Exercises section, you'll get the 6RM question.

If you open the new exercise in the Workouts section, you'll get the old interface.

This is definitely a bug and I'll get it fixed fast.

Thank you for catching that one Nick.

Cheers!

Note to staff: confirmed on both iOs and Android

I see!  Good to know anyway, until it's fixed!
