Exercise planning to maximize physique conformation. (I know, muscle’s are made in the kitchen and at sleep. However, I’d really like to see more of them!)

Hi Greg! All our programs and settings are already designed to maximize muscle gain. So, I'm puzzled. Can you tell me a bit more about what you have in mind?

Dr Carl,

Thanks for writing.

I’m 30-days into Dr Muscle and I agree with you that the AI-driven regimen appears to do all you say—and more. (I still have some newbie operator challenges related to choosing the best exercises to meet my personal (vanity) goals.  I’ve been using the ‘recommended’ upper and lower gym routines, which are absolutely fine and do produce reports that indicate increased strength, etc.

Increased strength and overall conditioning is very important to me. (Looking around my 55+ community, I see what happens when this is ignored.). We have an A+ fitness center with every piece of new and well-maintained Precor equipment free weights and cardio devices, and I have maxed out most of the weight on some machines.

At this point, I’m looking for guidance about how to use specific Dr Muscle exercise routines to get this new and future musculature to actually show! It’s all about vanity and I want the body I’ve never had—and fast.

Now, I’ve never ever been skinny (I was very heavy (200-240) in high school; have weighed in as little as 165-170, and now range steadily between 180-185, 31”-32” waist. As recently as 5 years ago, I weighed in at 215 (44” waist), after spending a year in my office raising $1 million in charitable funds for an event I managed. That inactivity nearly killed me.  Thus, stubborn subcutaneous fat may be the issue to overcome and may only respond to a liposuction session—and not any particular or combination of Dr Muscle.  But, it doesn’t hurt to ask.

If a specific combination of Dr Muscle routines, or a recommendation for specific exercise timing is suggested, I promise to ‘work the plan’—with goal being to *see* the Abercrombie & Fitch in me. I know that it has to be in there—somewhere!

Looking forward to my Men’s Health cover.
