App crashes from lock screen

I think we should never turn off the screen when it loads or do calculations ... I do not know if it is because of my pattern lock to unlock my phone when I turn it on again ...?

But it must do that to other guys too

Dustin, thanks for checking.

Ben and Nick, you two have been able to reproduce the issue. We've made a small change to the app and I think we've fixed the issue. The new beta version has the fix. Are you both in the beta program? If yes, can you check and tell me if you're still having the issue?

Hey Ben,

I haven't been able to reproduce this on my phone.

You're on Android, correct?

Could you please confirm that these steps are correct?

Exercise list >

Tap on Bench Press >

Loading popup message >

Lock screen >

Unlock screen >

The app crashes

Are these the exact steps you go through?

Android rignt. when I open an exercise or when I finished the exercice. I hit finish and then if this is too long I push power while the Loading appear and then the app crash when I open the screen and unlock it...

but of course, I close the screen only when the loading is taking too much time but this is once in a while...the app is working great else way!

I think I've been able to reproduce the issue.

Exercise list >

Bench Press >

Begin Exercise >

Save set (3x) >

Finish Exercise >

Lock screen >

Unlock screen

However, what I get it:

App is closed >

Open the app >

I'm back to the home screen

Instead of seeing the results screen.

Do you actually get a crash notification popup on your phone? Or the app just closes?

Also, you said you do this when the loading takes too much time. How long does it take?

Thanks for your help Ben,

Carl

no notification, the app just close, so I have to re-open, re-select the workout and select the exercise
once in a while it can take around 10-15 secondes

Hi! I just tried it on iOS (just to see what happens) from Exercises --> Bench Press and by locking the phone WHILE the exercise is loading for the recommendation screen and the message I got was that the internet connection was lost and to try again.  Which I did and was fine, but that wasn't an app crash -after clicking on OK, the app was working fine.  I haven't tried this while on a workout though.

The loading (mainly when I am done with an exercise) takes a bit long sometimes, but less than 10 seconds in my case.

Hope it helps!

Thanks for testing Nick.

Guys, I'm discussing this issue with my dev right now. I'll update soon.

Although I wasn't doing the same thing as Ben anyway, I can't reproduce what was happening on iOS -I unlock the screen and the app continues to load the recommendation screen, which eventually appears as normal...
