Ability to make any exercise hard, medium, light

Seppe Hoobergs 3 years ago updated by Carl Juneau, PhD 3 years ago 4

The ability to select EVERY exerxise as light, medium, hard (regular) instead of the limited ones we have.

would be a tremendous help to make the existing dr.muscle workouts a lot more interezting this way you can switch exercises which you prefer and you can jeep managing fatigue with light and medium days just as the program recomended.

it will also be a great help for custom workout programs.

Seppe, I'm happy to say you can indeed already make any exercise hard, medium, or light. Here's how:

Tap Exercise (bottom bar)

Tap Exercises

Tap the big plus button (bottom right)

As you create your exercise, the app will ask "How hard should the exercise be?" Select hard, medium, or light. And you'll be good to go!

that´s not really what i meant, we should be able to make each exercise hard-medium-light the ability to switch these

, is easier to swap exercises in the program but staying with the programs template, light days, medium days, hard days.

hower now you mention it, we can indeed make the exercise 3x and select hard/medium/light.

it's a little bit mire work than just a switch offcourse but it works, thanks.

the app also doesn't see it as one exercise but 3 separate exercises because of the hard-medium-light and the fact you'll have to make each exercise 3 times? O

or do i see it wrong?

will the app ask every first time for all 3 exercises (light/medium/hard) how much i could do, or if i name t the same but only click on hard for one, medium for 2, easy for 3 will the app see it as one and the same exercise and give the weight based on the hard exerxise for light and medium or not?

Hi again Seppe,

For exercises already in the app, it's asking you only once for all 3 variations. For custom exercises, I'm afraid it's asking you once for each.

Custom programs can go in hundreds of directions so we're careful not to automate them too much. That's been my thinking so far, at least.
