Custom weight increments for different types of exercises

alexjamos1 1 month ago updated by Carl Juneau, PhD 1 month ago 1

Might be a more UK specific piece but free weights are usually in kg while cable machines increment in lbs. So would be good if you could either use two different units for defined weight sets. Another one would be to assign a weight set override for certain workouts, so use the plate weight set for this even though it might default to pulley etc

Hi Alex,

Good news! You can already set up custom increments at the exercise level.

Just tap "..." next to any exercise in your workout, and then tap "Exercise settings". Toggle on Use custom increments, and you'll be good to go!

You could also entered detailed dumbbells and plate equipment, and use the more general increment setting for other machines and pulley (if they match). That would be under Settings > Change equipment.

I'm going to mark this as completed for now. Need more help? Email us anytime at support@drmuscleapp.com. We're here for you.

All the best,

Carl
