Send total workout time and volume to MyFitnessPal (or Apple Health)

Michael Tijerina 6 years ago updated by Carl Juneau, PhD 3 years ago 12

I really like the app, but it would cut out double documentation. Don’t need each exercise, just total time and volume. I usually track with Apple Watch but forgot today. My preference is MFP because that where I track food.

Thanks for voting for this feature -- it's in beta! From the announcement:

Apple Health integration is coming! It’s our #1 most requested features, so I’m excited to bring it to you! With this version coming up in beta, you’ll see your workout time synced to Apple Health. We’re also looking for ways to sync your volume (sets) and strength. Want to sync anything else? Let us know!

If you're in the beta:

On Android, you can already download the update. On iPhone? You'll have to wait 2-3 days for Apple to approve it. To update:
– Open the store app on your phone
– Search for Dr. Muscle
– Tap update

Not in the beta? Click here to join: https://dr-muscle.com/beta-program/. Otherwise, you'll get a notification inside the app in 7-10 days when the public version comes out.

Now would be a great time to suggest and vote for our next feature. We looked into MyFitnessPal, and sadly, it cannot be done on our code platform (Xamarin). You guys also requested Google Fit, Fitbit, and Garmin. If you still want that, please vote for it again now with another comment here. Or if you'd rather to vote for another feature, please visit: https://muscle.userecho.com/communities/1-submit-your-feedback/topics#.

We've released 47 updates in 2020 (one a week or so). For the full list, see https://dr-muscle.com/timeline/.

I am also wondering if there is a way to sync the app with my Samsung health app. It tracks all my movements and water intake and a multitude of info that i would like to monitor and merge with my gym workout

Write to FitBit or Health (Apple) so that my weight training time is recorded automatically and counted towards my caloric burn!

I'm agreeing for fitbit.

Linking to Apple Health would be great. Many workout apps do this. Please have Dr Muscle do this.

This would be my number one request along with making the app more energy efficient to use less battery.

apple Health will be most helpful. Some sort of fix to go through Suunto/Garmin or Strava would be great too, although I’m satisfied with Apple Health. Thx!

Definitely Garmin!  This is the most popular watch for competition athletes and fitness.

for some, this is a bit of deal breaker in the long run... because otherwise need to input data manually into other trackers which is cumbersome.  and it might push others to use other apps...

Sync with Google Fit and Fitbit please!!

Integrate with my MyFitnessPal to log estimate calories burned into MFP.

Apple Health integration is up and running. We looked into MyFitnessPal, and sadly, it cannot be done on our code platform (Xamarin). Some people also requested Google Fit, Fitbit, and Garmin many months ago, but not recently. So, I'm going to mark this one as completed for now. If you want those or another integration, please create a separate feature request so other customers like yourself can vote on it. Thx!
