Specify rep ranges for different workout days and exercises

Peter Naughton 6 years ago updated by Carl Juneau, PhD 5 years ago 2

I think that the app needs the ability to specify rep ranges for different workout days and for different exercises instead of having to make the changes on the fly so that its more permanent because  I have a program that is for Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and Monday is heavy and should be lower rep ranges and Wednesday is light and should be high rep ranges and Friday is moderate and should be somewhere in the middle, and exercises like deadlifts should have some restrictions on rep ranges to avoid injury but some exercises can be higher and some you may want to do a 5X5 with just as and example.

Previously, you could customize reps at the global and exercise levels. Now, you can also customize reps at the workout level. To do that, tap "..." and "more" next to any workout.

To download the new update:

- Open the store app on your phone
- Search for Dr. Muscle
- Tap update

Now would be a great time to suggest and vote for our next feature. If you'd like to do that, please visit: https://muscle.userecho.com/communities/1-submit-your-feedback/topics#.

My suggestion is in reference to the rep schemes. I’m training for a marathon so I’m very happy to have reps of 10-20 for certain days. However, on the day I want to train with lower reps and higher weight, to maintain strength, I have to manually change the rep scheme for all workouts. It’s not a problem if I remember to change it back but I shouldn’t have to remember that. If I could just tell the app when I make my workouts the specific rep range i want, it would fix the issue.
