Social Media Function

Mac Jones 5 years ago updated by Carl Juneau, PhD 5 years ago 4

Some of us benefit from being able to share our accomplishments on social media. Bodyspace has(had?) a nice function that allowed a photo to be taken at the end of a workout and superimpose text that included the date and a summary of the workout. It's not a necessity, but it was a little perk that added motivation to keep going.

Thanks for voting for this feature -- you can now share new records on Facebook:

I'm going to mark this feature as "Started" and leave it open for more customers to vote on before we implement it further.

If you're on Android, you can update now. If you're on iPhone, you'll have to wait 2-3 days for Apple to approve it. To update:

- Open the store app on your phone
- Search for Dr. Muscle
- Tap update

Now would be a great time to suggest and vote for our next feature. If you'd like to do that, please visit: https://muscle.userecho.com/communities/1-submit-your-feedback/topics#.

Really appreciate your support and advice. Thanks!

I would add this to the idea : Why wouldn't Dr. Muscle include a map of member's gym ? A kind of check-in function.

One thing I loved about other apps is the bragging function of social media. At the completion of the workout, I could take a photo and overlay it with a summary of my workout or just the total weight lifted, or the improvement in my 1RM, and it would have the BB.com logo in the bottom. I'd then post it to social media. -- Sometimes I just need that recognition from my peers to keep going. If you look at my FB profile from a couple of years ago, I'm sure you can see examples of what I mean. -- I wish that the AI function of Dr Muscle were enough for me to keep long-term motivation, but sometimes we need a variety of shallower motives to keep with a program.

That has got to be my favourite write-up of the day!

Looking forward to implementing this one!
