"Level up"-Feature for Custom Programs

Suggestion: Apply the same intelligence of the predefined Dr. Muscle Workout Programs to your custom programs.

I'm currently creating a custom workout program, including custom workouts with exercise variations that I enjoy the most. After creating my workout variations (representing the different levels of the program), I expected that 1) I either had the option to apply a certain amount of workouts in order to unlock the next workout of the program, or 2) the app would apply its intelligent features to it automatically. Unfortunately it did neither of them, and after the my first workout of my custom program was done, I was directly referred to the workout of the next level in the program.

In order to solve this I have two ideas in mind:

  1. Make it possible to customize the current Dr.Muscle workouts and programs. If so; I would be able to replace the exercises of the current Full-body workouts (2-3/wk) as I wouldn't use it in it's "current condition". By doing so, the underlying intelligence is still applied to the program, with the only difference that the labels of the exercises are replaced with my preferred exercises. This one sounds like the easiest, but perhaps not the most long term fix.
  2. Make it possible to create new programs through a predefined template. This one is correlated to 1) in the sense that I rather get the option to choose what exercises, and the amount of workouts, in the framework of an intelligent program. For example there would be a section where the user would add all his or her level 1 workouts, a section for all level 2 workouts etc. Then the workouts in each level would be iterated in the same way as of the predefined Dr. Muscle programs. There could even be recommendation on when to add easy workouts etc.

This is just a rough draft of thoughts coming from a fitness enthusiast, and there could easily be more obvious solutions to this. But short and sweet; apply the intelligence of the predefined programs to the user's custom workouts.

Thanks for voting for this feature -- it's done! You can now level up custom programs you create inside the app or via our Web app. This lets you link programs together over long training cycles and change exercises, rep ranges, and more over time. I would only recommend that for avanced users who know what they're doing.

If you're on Android, you can update now. If you're on iPhone, you'll have to wait 2-3 days for Apple to approve it. To update:

- Open the store app on your phone
- Search for Dr. Muscle
- Tap update

Now would be a great time to suggest and vote for our next feature. If you'd like to do that, please visit: https://muscle.userecho.com/communities/1-submit-your-feedback/topics#.

Also, don't miss our new meal plan service! Currently funding at http://eve.fit.

Really appreciate your support and advice. Thanks!
