Quick update: We've completed a number of preliminary steps, and we're about to tackle building an app for the Apple Watch. Thanks for your patience guys. Stay tuned.

I use a SamsungFit watch and it would amazing to have the app work on the watch, as i use it mostly for workouts and i could leave my phone in the locker.

I was wondering whether you are or would be developing an Apple / android watch app so we can save every set on our watch and see the next set similar to what you can do with music where you see the title, play / fast forward and rewind from your watch.

This would be fantastic!

I use an Apple Watch. Would be nice to be able to start and end my workout on my watch and log reps as I go.

it would also be nice if it was also collecting heart rate volume at the same time, and calculated an estimated calorie burn based on both heart rate data and total volume lifted.

that said - it would still need to sync in real time with a phone so that more details could be referenced on the phone (like previous 1RM, videos, etc)

Thanks for voting for this feature -- it's in beta! You can now save sets and workouts on your watch. More features are coming, and we’ve loooooooove to hear from you. What features would you like us to build next for your watch? Let us know by replying here on our feedback site.

If you're in the beta:

On Android, you can already download the update. On iPhone? You'll have to wait 2-3 days for Apple to approve it. To update:

  • Open the store app on your phone
  • Search for Dr. Muscle
  • Tap update

Not in the beta? Get in touch if you'd like to get in. Otherwise, you'll see a notification to update inside the app in 7-10 days when the public version comes out.

Love Dr. Muscle? Training with a partner? Add them to your account for 50% off. Need help with your diet? Check out the Learn tab (bottom bar) or our new diet coach app, Eve.

Now would be a great time to suggest and vote for our next feature. If you'd like to do that, please visit: https://muscle.userecho.com/communities/1-submit-your-feedback/topics#.

Really appreciate your support and advice. Thanks!

Carl

Is this online? How can I activate this?

Planned

It was, briefly. Then Apple updated its Watch OS, and our code platform (Microsoft Xamarin) didn't follow suit. We're keeping a close eye and as soon as it's available, we'll release our watch app again.

Oh, I didn't know people still used that. If you ever have the resources, I'd look into Flutter perhaps - not sure if it supports WatchOS apps though tbh.

It would be nice if the app worked on my Apple Watch and I could use my watch to record rep sets.
