Have the App Calculate "Easy Day Workouts" based on Normal Workouts, not a user's "6 rep guess"
After about 6 months of working out, the App automatically adds "Easy Workouts" to the program. Example Level3: is 3A, 3B, 3C, then Level 4: is 4A Easy, 4A, 4B, 4C. L5 is: 5A Easy, 5A, 5B Easy, 5B, 5C. The entire purpose of the Dr Muscle App is to do the best, most efficient workout for the greatest gains. If, during a regular workout, you have a "weak performance" the App Automatically "deloads" and "adjusts" your workout for optimum recovery, using AI. This is why I use the app instead of a 3x5 card and a pencil to track my workouts.
If the App RECOMMENDS doing EASY workouts, as part of the program... then I feel the app should also calculate and RECOMMEND the weights (based on your actual history with the movement and your current calculated 1RM) to optimize the "EASY DAYS" as well. If I "guess wrong", the AI will keep changing (based on results) until my Normal versus Easy workouts are appropriate. But, why should I waste multiple cycles and adjustments, when there are 100's of sets of my data available for the AI to analyze and give me the correct weights for my Easy Days that the Program is Recommending I do?
Please Calculate Weights for "Easy Exercises" based on the history of the same "Normal Exercises".
Answer
In addition to having to guess the "6-rep easy weight" for every exercise in the workout, all of the "customization" for the exercises is not shared between the exercises. Example custom increments had to be re-entered for every exercise in addition to making an "uneducated guess" at the weights to input. Settings for Bench Press and Bench Press Easy, for example, should also be shared.
+ my vote. I would also like to see the app auto schedule the easy workouts in addition to the auto calculate so you don't need to schedule them. Seems like a nice upgrade for the AI.
Bob, thank you for that suggestion.
Stephen, the app does auto schedule easy workouts. You get them from level 4 and up, on all programs.
Thanks for voting for this feature -- it's done! The app now sets up easy and medium exercise automatically for you based on your recent performance on their normal variation.
This is version 1197. If you're on Android, you can update now. If you're on iPhone, you'll have to wait 2-3 days for Apple to approve it. To update:
- Open the store app on your phone
- Search for Dr. Muscle
- Tap update
Now would be a great time to suggest and vote for our next feature. If you'd like to do that, please visit: https://muscle.userecho.com/communities/1-submit-your-feedback/topics#.
Really appreciate your support and advice. Thanks!
