Access Dr. Muscle from the Web

Marc David 7 years ago updated by Carl Juneau, PhD 6 years ago 16

Just thought of a cloud account option so you can enter custom exercises and workouts quicker. Easier to type on a keyboard for longer tasks.

Say I go to BFFM Inner Circle.  I see a workout program I want to do.  Ah yeah.. okay Upper Body 1; Lower Body 1; Upper Body 2; Lower Body 2... typing all that on my phone won't be thrilling.

Would be nice to go to my Dr Muscle account.  See My Workouts or My Exercises.. .add more.. and it gets synced to the client.

It's okay if I have to add 1 exercise on the fly in the gym.  No big deal.  But it's not fun to add an entire program. Or say 15 exercises that aren't included with the base program.

A webpage with the workout logs would be useful.

Correct. Make sure you vote for this one.

Web access to the program would be great. I'm ready to resume creating my own workouts. I've been following the app's default program for months. It's great, but I'm ready to tailor it to my specific needs. If I could do it on a laptop, that would be easier than on my phone.

Hi guys!

This suggestion is now our #2 top rated.

What would be the #1 thing you would like to do inside your account on our Web portal?

We'll build that first.  Thanks!

The first thing I would like is to be able to build workouts and programs.

The second thing would be to download all the data from my workouts.

Downloading data is the most important thing for me. I don't need a fancy interface, just a .csv dump.

For me, it's downloading data, clearly... Manage workouts, exercices and programs, Manage profile & Subscriptions details could be nice. Seeing log data will be an no-turn arround for sure (Kind of come with downloading data...)... I would also like to be able to do my exercice with it, rarely but it's could happen. Specially if i do workout from home.

web based UI would be the way to go use html5 or PHP if that isnt done then import export program data via csv - the reasons build on the direction for users to enter their own exercises and sequence over a longer period of time. either way web based or csv its structured data just that web based will be more fool proof.

Downloading the data for me, however both would be great to have because it's only a matter of time that I will want to create my workouts / programs as Mac has suggested.

Searching for a 1RM calculator, i arrived at https://strengthlevel.com/one-rep-max-calculator and being a curious person, i seek what this website is all about...

Seriously, this is representing what i do expect as a way to see/manage/export data related to Dr.Muscle.

Would you be favorable if Carl contact them for a partnership allowing us to link our Dr.Muscle account with our Strength Level account by our email address as an ID ?

PS : Strength Level is a Non Profit project from a single dev... https://strengthlevel.com/about

I would go for the workout builder, as well. I think that the wider view and less scrolling due to size, takes much of the distraction away.

Only being a relatively new comer to the World of Dr Muscle, the ability to download data would be great but equally being able to access the workout builder via my Mac a little way down the track would be pretty awesome too! Thanks

Guys, this feature is on the way!

We're now looking for testers ready to upload their program into their Dr. Muscle account via our new Web app. Email us at support@drmuscleapp.com if you're interested, and we'll give you all the details.

Be warned: it's still early, and we expect some bugs. But if you can spare the patience, we'd love to hear from you.

Thanks!

Carl
