Alternating arm option for bilateral exercises (left/right side)

Chris Kostoff 3 years ago updated by Carl Juneau, PhD 10 months ago 4

Would love an alternating arm option for bilateral exercises. For example, if I do concentration curls, I'd like to do a set and go from right arm then left arm right away.

Good news! We've implemented this for all exercises. To change, do this:

Tap Settings (bottom bar)
Scroll down to Train left/right sides separately?

You can also customise this behaviour at the exercise level (for custom exercises only). Default exercises follow the global setting.

On sets where you work one side at a time, an option to alternate between each side would be nice, instead of having to do all the exercises one side at a time. For example, if the exercise set is lunges, the app says “do side 1”. I would rather alternate.

Good news! We've implemented this for custom exercises. To change, do this:

Next to any custom exercise, tap More

Tap Settings

Scroll down

Toggle on/off Train your left and right sides separately?

We're considering enabling that feature for all exercises. Stay tuned.

A feature I’d like to see as well is the option of doing both sides of an exercise at each set instead of all sets on one side and then all sets on the other side.
