Record and trend weekly volume in a graph similar to your one RM
A suggestion for a new feature in the future would be having your weekly volume recorded and trended in a graph similar to your one RM is.
Thanks for your help.

Answer
I really like that suggestion Brian.
What I had in mind was to include it daily, on the same graph as your 1RM. So basically, for each workout, you'd see your 1RM and your volume, and that progress would be charted over time. Does that sound good?
That sounds great but I was thinking more about being able to chart weekly volume over a mesocycle so you can see your progress from start to end of mesocycle. Even better would be being able to group exercises together so you could total weekly volume for certain muscle groups.
Sorry if I'm asking to much but it's great being asked what for input.
Thanks
Brian
No, it's cool, thanks for contributing. I'm building this app for guys like you, so I really value your feedback.
Under "My progression", so you can see your progress for "all recent exercises". That is, exercises you've done at least 3 times in the last 4 weeks. If you also had volume for a similar chart, would that be what you're looking for?
That would be the easiest and fastest thing for us to implement at this point.
That sounds great Carl I think it would be really helpful to know your pushing volume in the right direction until you deload and then repeat.
Am I correct in thinking when we're referring to volume we're talking about working sets because as you have said you can achieve hypertrophy in various rep ranges.
Great, I'm glad we agree on the feature. The more people vote for it, the faster we'll implement it.
For volume, that's a great question. Number of hard sets might be the best way to measure it, yes. As you say, there's data to support that sets of 6-30RM cause similar hypertrophy. So 1 set is 1 set, no matter how many reps you do (as long as you're between 6 and 30 and you're doing RMs).
The other way to measure volume is "volume load". That is, sets x reps x load. This one blurs the picture a little bit. I think we'll just use sets.
Ha ha life is blurry enough already so sticking with sets sounds good to me.
Thanks
Brian
+1 here. I'd love fancy graphs. I'm also thinking a single graph with multiple exercises progressions, so the y axis is 1 rep max, the x axis is time, and there is a line plot for each exercise. Users could toggle the exercises selected in the plot

Workout breakdown graphs. Have a chart per workout or graphs for works out history with mor detail: chart for workout can be broken down in focus % of the workout: strength, explosiveness, endurance. This is probably a result of load vs reps vs rest times and it would be nice to have an idea of what area you are improving the most each work out day. Graphs per exercise can be clearer and you can roll finger over specific dates and see your precise 1RM, see most improved area (chest, legs, arms).See Volt App for charts and myWod App for clearer progression graphs.
