Totally agree with this one. Same thing happened to me.. last workout in April of this year and every time I open the app it feels like the last workout I did was two days ago.

The app really needs to be smarter about welcoming people back after an extended (or really, any) break with a whole new user experience flow.

I suppose that's a downside of nurturing the outward appearance of a smart AI assistant. It feels pretty dumb the way it is now.

Every time Dr. Muscle has me do a plate weighted crunch it starts me off with no weight but then jumps to 20kg (!).

In an effort to improve on this exercise, I started doing plate weighted crunches with a 2.5kg plate, which is far more realistic. I don't think I could even get off the ground with a 20kg on my chest, yet Dr. Muscle keeps suggesting it.

So every time this exercise comes up, I have to manually tap the field containing "20" and change it to 2.5, and for the last set in the exercise I just have to "guess" and set it back to 0, like the first set.

No fun having to "fight the app" in the middle of a workout like this. The app should make my workout smooth and let me concentrate on my workout.

Hi Carl

Many thanks for your explanation! Now I understand better what the app is trying to tell me as well as the logic behind the 1RM calculation.

Works for me!

If you prefer bug reports via email to support@drmuscleapp.com, I'm happy to oblige.

I saw that a topic type here on Userecho is "bug" and figured you might want bugs reported here, but if you prefer email, no problem! I'll send future bugs I find to that email address.

Thanks again and have a great day!

Agreed. There are amazing synthetic voices available these days. Use them :)

You should add reminders to the app to have people “weigh in”. Sometimes Dr. Muscle will tell me that my weight is stable, sometimes that I’m losing weight.. but based on what? If I haven’t weighed myself recently, how does it magically know about changes in my weight?
