Could be that you have "rest-pause" sets enabled for your easy exercises. In this case the app always goes to 1/3 of the rep number of the first set.

It's not just you, I felt the same way. If this app hadn't come recommended by Will Brink, I would've thought it's just another grifter trying to make a quick buck, and would've definetely cancelled the purchase. This sleazy marketing is 100% at odds with the seriousness and quality of the app itself. My guess is some marketing guru convinced Carl that this is the way it has to be done. It doesn't suit his style at all.

Totally agree! I think before we get aesthetic enhancements like fancy icons, the basics should be taken care of. I sometimes wait 10 seconds between screens - not just the exercises, but also my stats, which is very annoying if I want to check many different stats - I also get the delay simply going "back" to the prior screen, which makes no sense at all to me as I would assume this information to be cached. Definetely a lot of room for improvement here.

I agree with the "background loading" suggestion, or maybe the next 2 or so total workouts could always be downloaded, so that there are no waiting times. Stats should be saved locally as well, I can't imagine them taking up much space.

Downloading data is the most important thing for me. I don't need a fancy interface, just a .csv dump.

I'd say, when in doubt, round up, so you don't deload accidentally. I have found that the app "rewards" (in terms of 1RM increases) more weight more than more reps, from a perceived exhaustion point of view.

+1. I also switch gyms sometimes and even though the pulleys are the same brand, with weight markings on them, I could swear the resistances are different. Also, when I started using this app, sometimes I entered the weight for each arm on dumbbell exercises, sometimes the total, which makes my workouts a bit confusing now :)

Also, it would be good if we could simply manually enter a new 1RM for each exercise that the app bases its calculations on.

Thanks for the tip with the scale, will also do that.

Even though it's probably a bug, I think it's a good thing. If the app tells me to only do eg 2 sets, but I want to do more for whatever reason, I already have the timer for the next set.

And you know how many sets you need/want to do. It even says when you're done, it's not like this timer continuing is confusing.

I would also like to this at least for deloads, because with the rest pause techniques on deloads, it feels like I am doing almost nothing at all.
