Body fat target

You should ask for desired weight and body fat because just a weight target is insufficient for achieving desired outcome…

Rest days not observed?

Dominique O 1 year ago updated by Carl Juneau, PhD 1 year ago 2

I am on a Monday-Wednesday-Friday program. The other days, including the weekend, are supposed to be rest days. Yet every Sunday, DrMuscle tells me it’s time to crush it. As it happens, I was planning to work out today (a Sunday), but is that a bug? Or is one of my settings off?

Hi guys,

Thanks for reporting that issue. We're on it. Someone from the team will be in touch shortly by email.

In the future, please send all bug reports to support@drmuscleapp.com.

Thanks!

Longer countdown before next set

Adriana A 1 year ago 0

Sometimes I find that a countdown from 3 doesn’t provide enough time to get ready for the next set. It would be nice if the countdown length was configurable in the workout settings.

questionnaire responses do not affect workout programming?

Bob Ruff 2 years ago updated by Van Young 1 year ago 1

So when going through the questionnaire, it asks how long you would like to work out. I put 45mins. The first workout it spits out for me is 80 minutes. So I reset it again and chose workout duration of 30 minutes. First workout was scheduled for 72 minutes. It seems what you choose doesn't have any effect on the workouts at all?

Erasing weight history?

Bob Ruff 2 years ago 0

When I decided to jump into the beta program, I wanted to come in with a clean slate. So I wiped everything and went through the questions again. My workout history is gone and everything else seems in check except it remembers my old weight as uses that as a starting point. I've tried a few times now and the weight just won't reset.

Swap exercises with guided rehab exercises for injured body parts

P P 2 years ago 0

I figured the injury rehab option would accomplish this. Looking for thoughts on this idea for injury rehab mode instead.

This mode would take the body part reported as injured (could add granularity here, i.e., posterior deltoid, traps, etc. instead of shoulder and chest respectively). In the next workout, the app would provide the prompt to substitute with a rehab exercise.

This effort might be a 3 part effort:

- add rehab exercises

- add prompt to substitute exercises for body parts reported as injured

- add an additional prompt to specify specific area of the body part as mentioned earlier (e.g. posterior deltoid)

AI chat is not helpful (yet) - allow turning it off

Noah Alexander 2 years ago updated by Van Young 1 year ago 2

so far this AI chat subtracts value from me for the app.  chat is annoying most of the time says the same Arnold quote, gives stats I am not interested in and doesn't correctly answer many questions. the value add for the user in my opinion is in the programming and it is great but there is so much room for improvement

though I recognize ai like this may eventually make customer service job easier it detracts from the value of the app and makes it seem more glitchy
