Hello Seppo,
Thanks for your suggestion. Did you know you can already reorder exercises during your workouts? Here's how:
Open any workout
Tap the pen icon (top-right)
Tap Continue
Reorder your exercises as you please
I'm going to keep this open in case it gets more votes for a smoother integration during workouts, and your other comments as well.
Thank you so much for choosing Dr. Muscle,
Carl
Hi Seppo,
Thanks for reporting that issue. We're on it, and someone from the team will follow up over email.
We try to keep this site for suggestions and feature requests, as a few hundred people receive a notification every time you post here. So, please send all future bug reports to support@drmuscleapp.com.
I'm going to make this as closed.
Thanks so much for choosing Dr. Muscle,
Carl
Hi Eduardo,
Thanks for your suggestion. I've added it to our roadmap. In the meantime, it's easy to add any number of custom exercises to your account. Here's how:
- Open the app
- On your home page, scroll all the way down
- Tap Exercises (bottom left)
- Tap the big plus button at the bottom right corner
And you'll be good to go!
Thanks so much for your support,
Carl
Hi Kamilla,
Thanks for your suggestion. I'd be happy to add workouts with different exercises to the app when this gets more votes. But please keep in mind that this might actually slow down your progress (learn more: https://dr-muscle.com/change-routine-exercises).
I understand that changing exercises often can be more fun, so in the meantime, if you want to go that route, you'll find more varied workouts in the PPL and Muscle Split programs. To change program and try them out, do this:
1. Tap the Settings icon on the bottom bar
2. Tap "Change Program"
3. Tap "Workouts"
4. Tap "Gym" or "Home gym"
Thanks again for your suggestion, and for choosing Dr. Muscle.
Carl
Hi again Seppo,
Thanks for your suggestion. You can easily do cardio sessions like this:
- Open the app
- On your home page, scroll all the way down
- Tap Exercises (bottom left)
- Open any cardio exercise
To do a mobility session, you could start a workout and leave right after the mobility part. But you're correct that we could certainly create them as separate mobility workouts. We'll implement it when this gets more votes.
Best,
Carl
Hi Seppo,
Thanks for your suggestion.
It's easy to add any number of custom exercises to your account. Here's how:
- Open the app
- On your home page, scroll all the way down
- Tap Exercises (bottom left)
- Tap the big plus button at the bottom right corner
So, you can already create variations for your leg presses. But as you guessed, progression for custom exercises is independent. I look forward to this getting more votes so we can tie them together as you suggested.
Best,
Carl
Hi Peter,
Thanks for your suggestion. This was completed some time ago. Warm-up sets are now marked as W and work sets start at 1. I'm going to mark this as completed.
Cheers,
Carl
Thanks for your suggestion! Looking forward to start working on it when it gets more votes. I the meantime, I wanted to point out there's evidence that "hypertrophic outcomes are similar when training with repetition durations ranging from 0.5 to 8 s."

This is making slow reps like that somewhat less attractive, in my opiniion.

Hi Seppo,
Thanks for submitting that suggestion.
On your first work set of any exercise, you should see by how much your 1RM will go up or down depending on your chosen reps and weights. If you change those manually, you'll notice the 1RM change as well.
Let us know if you had something else in mind!
Best,
Carl
