Meal planner: each day you can tell the app what you plan to eat and it give you example of menu

Nicolas P. 1 year ago 0

The ideal for the me - and I think for anyone that doesn’t live for fitness but wants to be in shape even with kids a a job - would be to say what I want to eat, to name the main source of macros ( for example, eggs, pasta, cucumber and avocado) and to get proposition of meal with quantities and suggestions of things to complete or to replace if there is a better option.

Ideally, each day you can tell the app what you plan to eat and it give you example of menu and quantities with suggestion to complete or improve if needed.

Audio voice prompt for max reps

When there is a set asking for max reps, it should say so. Now it says what the previous max reps were.

Track Bodyfat & Adjust Macros

Ariana Miller 1 year ago updated by Nick M 1 year ago 0

It would be helpful to track our Bodyfat % in the app.  Others have suggested that the app estimate Bodyfat, but just being able to input the % like we do our weight would be helpful.

With that information, the app could adjust caloric needs and macro recommendations.  The app would also be able to record whether the user is losing or gaining muscle.

The app suggests unavailable equipment

Ismar I 1 year ago updated by Carl Juneau, PhD 1 year ago 2

The app keeps suggesting "2kg", for example, for the barbell row exercise, even though under custom equipment, I have no 2kg listed. The closest is I have is 2.5kg.

This is infuriating during workouts, where, while I'm trying to do my best to complete my workout, I also have to "fight" the app to do the right thing.

While doing the exercise, I have corrected the weight fields for each set of reps to 2.5kg (from 2.0) to reflect that I'm using a 2.5kg plate because I don't have a 2kg weight available. Despite doing this in multiple workouts now, the app does not remember this for the next workout so I have to do this adjustment every single workout.

For the HIIT workout the app suggested no exercise in particular at all and by looking at the video instructions, it suggested I do 20min of Spinning (pointing to a 20min video for a stationary bike exercise). I don't even have a spinning bike nor did I ever tell the app that I did.

Thanks for the update on this issue. I can see that the team has been replying over email, so I'm going to close this ticket. Again, if you notice more bugs, please send them at support@drmuscleapp.com. We do our best to keep this site for feature requests only.

Thank you so much for trusting us with your fitness,

Input why I changed reps or weight

Daniel M 1 year ago 0
  • It’ll be good to input feedback as to why I changed reps or weight. For example, I lowered the weight on the calves because I felt that I could get more of a squeeze and hold if I lowered the weight. Similarly with factoring in if I lowered the weight because I'm fatigued from doing a particular exercise at the end of a work out compared to having done it at the beginning of a previous workout. Another example could be that I ended an exercise early because of pain somewhere else. For example, lower back pain or grip fatigue when doing deadlifts, rather than failure from legs and back. Would be good to input that information to be followed up by form recommendations, weight adjustment etc. I know other apps ask for how my joints feel after each exercise.

Show popups with tips for 3 to 4 additional seconds

Michael D 1 year ago 0

Firstly, I enjoy the pop ups before training sessions as reminders for what I can edit in the settings menu. I understand and can appreciate their value.

Having said that, I believe the pop ups are only up for 5 seconds and disappear.

I realize that we don’t want them up for too long but their is a “proceed to workout” call to action button on the pop up… the problem is, 5 seconds is not long enough to read the entire pop up before it disappears.

It’s not a deal breaker but I would consider keeping the pop up for 3 to 4 additional seconds.
