Undo save exercise

Jim B 3 years ago updated by Carl Juneau, PhD 7 months ago 5

Sometimes when doing a set either a normal style or more often a rest pause style set I have hit the save set and exercise when I really wanted to save and add set. Now the exercise if “finished” and I cannot find a way to get back into the set to add more sets. Either confirm when I select save set and afinishercise. Then I could cancel and do what I intended to do. Or make an add set button always on the screen.

Is there a way to add another set or two after you select save set and exercise?

Thanks for this other suggestion David. I've made it standalone so everyone can vote on it: https://muscle.userecho.com/communities/1/topics/644-undo-set.

Returning to the original suggestion, I can see my previous response is 3 years old. Since then, we've made that flow easier by letting you add a set even after your exercise is finished. Just tap it to reopen, and tap Add set.

To your point about undoing a saved set, you can always tap the X icon left of it to delete it, and tap Add set to add another to replace it. I understand that's not exactly what you have in mind, so I look forward to seeing this suggestion get more votes so it moves higher on our roadmap.

Thanks so much for your support,

Carl

Option to set dumbells that I have at home like you have on plates

Anhtuan T 3 years ago updated by Carl Juneau, PhD 1 year ago 2

Only thing that disturbs me is that i cant set dumbells that i have at home like you have on plates. As i dont have all weights then I constantly need to adjust the reps and weight as i dont have that specific dumbell.

Be able to look at exercise history while in the workout

Jim B 3 years ago 0

While actively in a workout on the exercise screen an option to see recent history maybe stats  for 3- 5 of the workouts before. Nice to check while you are resting between sets

Exclude an exercise

When either swapping out an exercise or separately browsing exercises be able to inactivate that exercise from being recommended and a reactivate for future use.

Have the popups with tips at the beginning of workouts disappear automatically

Jenna M 3 years ago updated by Carl Juneau, PhD 1 year ago 1

Could you have them pop up and disappear without the need to tap them? Thus, a timed pop up that gives the user something on the screen while things load, but I don’t have to hover over it and click on a button to make it go away?

Smaller weight increases when going back to low reps

Nicolas P 3 years ago 0

After training with high reps, when going back to low reps, weights are often too heavy. I'd like smaller increases when going back to low reps. I suggest lowering reps slowly to weights don't jump as much. For example:

12 reps

9 reps

5 reps

Instead of going from 12 to 5 reps (much heavier weights).

Take into account the order exercises are done in a workout

Ian T 4 years ago updated by James B 3 months ago 1

Currently the app calculates weights and reps for each exercise depending on the last time we did the exercise. But it doesn’t take into account the order of the exercises in a given workout session/what exercise went before/after it in the same workout session. For example, if I’m doing benchpress at the start of the session I’m going to perform better than if it’s the last exercise, especially if the same muscles are being exercised beforehand.

Can the app therefore take the order of exercises into account when doing its calculations for the next workout session. Otherwise the results will be skewed somewhat.

Option to manually set the number of trainings before starting a strenght phase

Guillaume R 4 years ago 0

Allow the user to determine the number of trainings of a program before starting a strenght phase. So for those who prefer to do strenght training more often than hyperthrophy, that will be possible, or if the program is having issues with the count down, you may be able to adjust it manually.

Deload when you’re doing 2 work sets

André Ferreira 4 years ago updated by Carl Juneau, PhD 4 years ago 1

I’d like the ability to deload when you’re doing only 2 work sets of a specific exercise. The app unfortunately doesn’t lower for less than the same two sets. I’d like the ability to lower for just one work set for the specific exercise.

Bom dia André! This is definitely something we can implement once it gets more votes. Until then, a quick tip. You can always do fewer sets than the app recommends. To do fewer, tap Finish exercise (under the Save set button) anytime during an exercise (you don't always have to do all your sets!). Hope this help. -Carl
