Have the popups with tips at the beginning of workouts disappear automatically

Jenna M 3 years ago updated by Carl Juneau, PhD 1 year ago 1

Could you have them pop up and disappear without the need to tap them? Thus, a timed pop up that gives the user something on the screen while things load, but I don’t have to hover over it and click on a button to make it go away?

Smaller weight increases when going back to low reps

Nicolas P 3 years ago 0

After training with high reps, when going back to low reps, weights are often too heavy. I'd like smaller increases when going back to low reps. I suggest lowering reps slowly to weights don't jump as much. For example:

12 reps

9 reps

5 reps

Instead of going from 12 to 5 reps (much heavier weights).

Take into account the order exercises are done in a workout

Ian T 3 years ago updated by James 3 weeks ago 1

Currently the app calculates weights and reps for each exercise depending on the last time we did the exercise. But it doesn’t take into account the order of the exercises in a given workout session/what exercise went before/after it in the same workout session. For example, if I’m doing benchpress at the start of the session I’m going to perform better than if it’s the last exercise, especially if the same muscles are being exercised beforehand.

Can the app therefore take the order of exercises into account when doing its calculations for the next workout session. Otherwise the results will be skewed somewhat.

Option to manually set the number of trainings before starting a strenght phase

Guillaume R 4 years ago 0

Allow the user to determine the number of trainings of a program before starting a strenght phase. So for those who prefer to do strenght training more often than hyperthrophy, that will be possible, or if the program is having issues with the count down, you may be able to adjust it manually.

Deload when you’re doing 2 work sets

André Ferreira 4 years ago updated by Carl Juneau, PhD 4 years ago 1

I’d like the ability to deload when you’re doing only 2 work sets of a specific exercise. The app unfortunately doesn’t lower for less than the same two sets. I’d like the ability to lower for just one work set for the specific exercise.

Bom dia André! This is definitely something we can implement once it gets more votes. Until then, a quick tip. You can always do fewer sets than the app recommends. To do fewer, tap Finish exercise (under the Save set button) anytime during an exercise (you don't always have to do all your sets!). Hope this help. -Carl

Strength blocks automatically added to custom routines

Would love to see the app be able to intelligently add strength focused blocks into custom programs as it does for built in programs.

Bicycling, walking during rest days

Golda G. 4 years ago updated by fervent_passeur_05 1 year ago 1

I believe there should be an option to account for time that is assumed as not utilizing your app.

For example; when your app indicates that I need to rest, I am from the Dr. Muscle weight lifting program, however I am still moving i.e., bicycling, walking etc. And it's all captured on my fitbit.

Look Dr. Muscle, I have a lot of fat to burn, so yes, while I am taking it light on the app for rest, I am moving in other ways. Moving forward, I would like to see an option where miles can be noted in your app during the days that Dr. Muscle prescribed for rest.

Thanks in advance,

Golda

The ability to selct lower than 5 reps and higher than 50 reps

Seppe 4 years ago 0

It would be great to be able to select all repranges and for instance you could select bench press/military/deadlift/squat   3-7reps to work brute strength this could let you make powerbuilding workouts.

also high burn sets for legs seem to have a lot of evidence of beeing effective, think about 50/100 rep leg presses/curls/extension as a finisher.

Exercise Resets

Marc David 4 years ago 0

I've noticed that if I create a custom workout program but I use a previously used exercise like "bench press" which has a long history.

The first time I do this in the new program, it asks me how many times can I do this easily.

Yet it has a lengthy history of this particular default exercise?
