Copy and edit workouts
For multi level workouts and exercises in rotation, consider a 'Copy/Edit' option for the whole workout -if someone wants to make his/her own L2 workout(s), it would be much easier to make it with the Copy/Edit option based on your recommendation, if s/he is to change 1-2 exercises only per session, rather than making them from scratch again, perhaps? What do you think?
Add my own new exercise while in workout menu
Add a new exercise while being within the workout itself
Thanks for voting for that feature -- it's done! In fact, it's been live for some time now. To add an exercise during a workout, just tap Edit workout (top left). Now would be a great time to suggest and vote for our next feature. If you'd like to do that, please visit: https://muscle.userecho.com/communities/1-submit-your-feedback/topics#. Really appreciate your support and advice. Thanks!
The app only recommens 1 set
It's nice beating the app :))
But it's strange that for a lot of my exercises the app only recommens 1 set. I preffer to do 3 sets for each exercise. Why is it saying to do just one set ? Should I follow it or just do my regular 3 sets ?
This has been improved upon in the latest update. For more details, check out: http://drmuscleapp.com/news/building-muscle/. I'm marking this as "Completed."
Restrict rep range for some exercises
There are a few exercises, like, for example, the Deadlift (or the Olympic Lifts and derivatives) which is a bit risky (for lack of a better term) to use for, say, more than 6 reps (due to technique, etc)? Could a distinction be made perhaps for such exercises? Not sure...
I just did some Deadlifts yesterday (with a ridiculously low load, just exercising, but that's not the point, lol) and saw 11 reps (which is fine based on the DUP, of course), but it just stuck with me...
Inconsistency in new exercise setup
When I enter a new exercise of mine, it asks for a 6RM. If I ignore it (e.g., I'll test it next time I go to the gym) and click on this new exercise straight on the workout while in the gym, it still asks for what I have done in the last 3 workouts (and not the 6RM question, I mean). Is this correct or a bug-like?
This bug has been fixed with the latest update. Great catch Nick! Thanks for your help.
More detailed workout preview
I had a Medium day and started the workout as normal with warmup sets. As I was preparing for the first work set, I noticed that the app gave me such a light weight that it was almost -20% to my previous best. Then I realized that this was marked as a Light (or Easy) set.
I cancelled the light set and the app gave me new weights that had me breaking the old PB, which was just on the money. However, the app also nullified my warmups I had already done. This was slightly annoying, but worse was that I had changed the warmup weights so that I can just add new plates to the bar without the need to srtip old plates. Now my planning was in vein as the weights in the work sets were changed. The same happened in several exercises during the workout.
This happened because in the workout preview, one can only see the reps x weight, but not how it compares to previous PB, or if the workout is scheduled as Easy. So, it would be nice if one could see all data in the workout preview - at least for the upcoming workout.
Another nice improvement would be that the AI would plan ahead the warmup weights to minimize the need to strip plates from the bar. The way I see it, is that it does not make much difference if the warmup set is 6 x 40 kg instead of 7 x 37,5 kg, for example. However it would be much easier to continue adding plates to a 40 kg bar for the next sets.
Undo set
The problem I have encountered - since there still isn't support for an Apple Watch app and the screen needs to remain on throughout the workout to maintain progress - is that the current set is marked completed while my phone is in my pocket. This triggers the timer and sometimes it also bumps the difficulty factor, which will affect my future workouts. There needs to be an undo button so that 1. the user is able to reset the timer and 2. the user can modify how difficult the first set was.
Send calories to Apple Move ring
I've noticed that even though calories are reported to Apple Health, they are not being added to the Apple move ring.
Rowing machine
Setting up the exercise on the rowing machine. We have two criteria in the application: time and speed. The time is shown either by the machine or separately, but not all rowing machines tell you the speed. Some have speed steps, others have an electronic display and show you the power in watts. Could we have other criteria for measuring effort besides "speed"? And in the current case what does the speed refer to, in kilometers/miles per hour or is it a preset gear of the device?
Hi Ovi,
Thank you for your suggestion.
We understand that different machines have varying displays and metrics, which can sometimes create confusion.
Yes, we could incorporate additional criteria for measuring effort beyond just speed and time. For instance, distance can also be a valuable metric to track during rowing sessions. It's been voted on already at: Adding Detailed Cardio.
To clarify your question about speed: it can refer to different units depending on your machine. If your rowing machine displays speed in kilometers per hour (km/h), you can use that measurement directly. If it uses a preset gear system, you can input the corresponding speed value as best suited to your workout.
Thanks again for your feedback. I look forward to seeing this get more votes.

Make skipping or missing workouts more intuitive
I would recommend adding something to app that makes this process more transparent and intuitive...maybe a pop-up message the first time you open the app after missing a workout, or not completing a workout. The message could be something like "hey, we noticed that you missed your full body workout on (enter date) and this is your first time back since then. Do you want to do that workout now? " Then if you respond yes there could be a follow-on message like "We noticed that normally you have 48hrs rest between workouts and if you exercise today, you won't have the recommended recovery time. Do you want us to shift (enter whatever workouts are affected) for you do the following dates (enter dates).
Of note, after having done my work out a day later than planned, the app didn't shift things for me. I opened it yesterday (Saturday) planning to do my Friday workout and the app didn't recommend anything. It was telling me to wait until Monday to training despite not having worked out since Thursday. Again, my primary issue with the app is that it isn't an intuitive experience if you miss or don't complete a workout. It might be something useful but it isn't clear to me...maybe it's just me.
