Weighted bodyweight exercises
Support for bodyweight exercises with external weight to increase the resistance would be really useful. Tracking just the added weight is inaccurate, and modifying the minimum weight on every exercise based on bodyweight fluctuations is a bit of a chore.

More variations in the programming
I would like to see more variations in the programming. Like weightlifter, Olympic lifter or crossfitter and calisthenics in the weight training program and not something separate. I got bored of the programming. After I completed the program, it gave me the same program again with the same movements. The best programming I've ever combined both weights, calisthenics and accessory work like scapula pullups, resistance bands etc. in the workout and I had the best results.

Progress pictures
I recommend you consider taking pictures. What if the app showed the last picture you took and said “This is your last progress picture! Time to take a new one! We’ll do it after your workout so make it count!”

Revise the way the "Work Sets" graph work
I'm not "comfortable" with the way the Work Sets graph work.
Sat at the end of my workout: 132-149-152
Today before my workout: 88-200-101
I'm sure it will look "normal" after I finish my workout today. But maybe you should think about your algorithm, there may be a better way to calculate it. Is it actually looking at the last 7 calendar days, and including "today" even though no workout has been completed? [Carl Juneau edit: yes, that's correct.]
Maybe it should look at ONLY completed workouts in the last 7 days (hence the reason it is correct after today's workout is completed and it re-calculates). Or maybe it should look at the number of work-sets in the last X number of workouts, instead of in the last 7 calendar days (because someone might do 2 to 5 workouts in 7 "calendar days") OR maybe the number of work-sets per workout (dividing completed sets by completed workouts, eg average work-sets per workout)?
Just some thoughts... because when you open the app and see a huge "false drop" in the history (I did the sets, it is just misreporting IMO) it makes me question what other things might also be "miscalculated"?
Off to the gym now.......
Thank you!

"Deload" notification when starting a deload set
There's a message about "next workout be a deload for this exercise" or something to that effect. But I find it necessary to have a notification when actually starting a deload set on the next workout. Otherwise I forget it's supposed to be a deload for recovery, and tend to do more than the prescribed reps and go close to failure because it's too easy. So I need to know it's supposed to be a deload on the exercise screen so I know not to go very far beyond the prescribed reps, even if it's easy.

Providing alternative exercises
Unfortunately gyms can get crowded at peak hours and you might not always be able to get on the equipment that you want. I think it would be great if the app could provide alternative exercises in a routine to give users other options for targeting a body part when gyms get crowded or machines are unavailable. This could even be drawn from the plethora of exercises that Dr. Muscle already has in the program and would be helpful for newbies who may not be aware of multiple exercises that target various body parts.

Thanks for voting for this feature -- it's done! (In fact, it's been implemented some time ago.)
To get alternative exercises, tap the pen icon and Swap. The app will suggest similar exercises (for the same body part) at the top of the list.

Referral codes for new users
I'm several months into using the app. Love the progress. Love the improvements.
Friends are asking "what are you doing different these days?"
I've had several people in the gym ask "what app are you using?"
I'm ready to endorse your app as I truly believe it is a solid product. What can we do to share?
It would be great to gift a Free Trial Month or a Friends and Family discount.

Hi Devin,
Thrilled you're loving the app!
Yes, we're happy to give your friends and family a free trial month. We don't have a system in place for that, so for now, please write a 3-way email to put us in touch or ask your friend to email us and mention you. We'll get them set up :)
Thx!

Weight calculating
the weight calculations I get are odd such as 52.2 lbs but that’s not possible with dumbbells because they only come in five pound increments starting at five pounds and when your gym only has 45,35,25,10,5,2.5 pound plates odd numbers like that are not possible that’s why a better system for calculating the weight is required.

Good news! Today's update includes this suggestion: the app will no longer round the weights you enter. I'm marking this as completed.
Thanks guys!

Follow a Single Exercise in History
In order to easily see the progression of an exercise and/or perhaps build upon that in the next training phase, it would be useful to select a specific exercise in the History menu. I understand this is not of primary importance perhaps for now, but if I don't post it now, I'll forget it, lol! Cheers!

With the latest update, you can view a single exercise at a time. In the chart and in the logs. I'm marking this feature request as "Completed".
Thanks!

How do I know when I'm in a de-loading phase?
Maybe also explain that missing a rep range may drop your sets on subsequent workout but that is normal and is necessary to prevent over training and get you back on track to hit new max's. Putting together a demo that walks through a few cycles and demonstrates these different scenarios would be very helpful.

This feature is now live in beta. For more details, check out http://drmuscleapp.com/news/deload/. We should roll it out public by the end of the week. I'm marking this as "Completed".
