Hi Nygel,

I can see you already voted for that suggestion on another post: https://muscle.userecho.com/communities/1/topics/273-support-for-assisted-dips-chin-ups?redirect_to_reply=926#comment-926

I'm going to mark this as a duplicate and close it.

Best,

Carl

Hi Wayne,

I'm happy to saw we already have a setting for that. Here's how you can configure your home gym:

Tap Settings (bottom bar)

Tap Change equipment

Tap Home

Toggle on Activate profile

Enter the dumbbells you have under Dumbbells

And you should be good to go!

If you need more help with that, please email us at support@drmuscleapp.com.

Best,

Carl

Hi Wayne,

We already have a similar suggestion in our top 5. I'm going to copy your comments there. I suggest you vote for that one!

Thanks for voting for this feature -- it's in beta! From the announcement:

Excited to announce TWO of our top requested features. With this beta update, you’ll be able to hear yours truly say how many reps you have to do when your rest timer ends (e.g. “5 reps” instead of the usual “ding”). Toggle this on by tapping the timer icon top-right during any workout. Also, you can now customize your equipment in full for plates, dumbbells, and pulleys. This gives you full control over your increments, min, and max weights for exercises using those implements. Big thanks to all who voted for these features!

If you're in the beta:
On Android, you can already download the update. On iPhone? You'll have to wait 7-10 days for Apple to release it. To update:
– Open the store app on your phone
– Search for Dr. Muscle
– Tap update

Not in the beta? Click here to join: https://dr-muscle.com/beta-program/. Otherwise, you'll get a notification inside the app in 7-10 days when the public version comes out.

Now would be a good time to suggest and vote for our next feature. Please visit https://muscle.userecho.com/.

We've released 46 updates in 2021 (one a week or so). For the full list, see https://dr-muscle.com/timeline/.

Love Dr. Muscle? Upgrade to annual to get 4 months free. Training with a partner? Add them to your account for 50% off. Need help with your diet? Dr. Muscle now includes meal plans! Tap Get meal plan on your home page to get started.

Wanna do us a huge favor? Leave us a review on the app store. It's one of the main ways new people learn about us. It will take less than 2 minutes, and it would really help out!

Really appreciate your support and suggestions to improve the app. Thanks!

Gareth, thanks for your suggestion.

Until it gets more votes and we implement it, you may be able to achieve something similar by customizing work sets at the exercise, workout, or global levels. That's already live inside the app. Here's how:

- You can set work sets for all exercises under More > Settings.

- You can override that setting at the workout level under Exercise > Workout > Navigate to your program > ... > More > Use custom sets

- And you can also override that at the exercise level by tapping More and Settings next to any exercise during any workout.

As you can see, it's pretty flexible already. I hope this helps.

Hey Joseph! Thanks for your suggestion. Until it gets more votes, you can always add those exercises to your own account. It's easy to add any number of custom exercises. Here's how:

Tap Exercise (bottom bar)

Tap Exercises

Tap the big plus button at the bottom right

And you'll be good to go!

Thanks for voting for this feature—it's started! Weight recommendations for barbell exercises will now match your plates increments (instead of the global increments setting). Dumbbells are next.
