Hi Lloyd,
I'm guessing you're on a level 1 program. To mix in more exercises, I'd recommend moving up to level 2 right away. Here's how you can do that:
Tap More (bottom bar)
Tap Settings
Tap Change program
On any program, you can also swap exercises any time. The app will recommend similar exercises for the same muscles. Here's how:
Tap More next to any exercise
Tap Swap
I'm going to mark this as completed for now. On that note, when you suggest a feature on this website, everyone who's signed up gets a notification. So, if you have questions about the app, please first email us at support@drmuscleapp.com.
Thanks for your sharp feedback,
Carl
Bom dia André! This is definitely something we can implement once it gets more votes. Until then, a quick tip. You can always do fewer sets than the app recommends. To do fewer, tap Finish exercise (under the Save set button) anytime during an exercise (you don't always have to do all your sets!). Hope this help. -Carl
Hi Joseph. Thanks for your feedback. Totally understand your concern. These big increases generally happen because of custom increments. If you set your increments to 0.01 lbs/kg, you'll see exactly what the app wants to recommend. You can also increase your rep range to give the app more options to play with and find that perfect increase for you. When it can, it already works along the lines you described. So, these big increases definitely look odd. I'll have someone from the team follow up with you shortly by email. Thanks!
Thank you for that great suggestion Gaetan. Makes total sense, and it should be easy to do. We'll implement it in our next release. Expect it to go live in 3-4 weeks. Thank you!
Thanks for that suggestion Ari. And I can see it's getting votes already. Guys, quick question: we could double speed / responsiveness by having each exercise open on its own page (instead of having all exercises open and close on the same page). Downsides include making it a bit harder to do supersets (more taps) and seeing which exercises are coming up while you're doing one. But responsiveness would be faster. With that, overall, would you guys be happy with that change?
Hi again Seppe,
For exercises already in the app, it's asking you only once for all 3 variations. For custom exercises, I'm afraid it's asking you once for each.
Custom programs can go in hundreds of directions so we're careful not to automate them too much. That's been my thinking so far, at least. If you have more questions, please email support@drmuscleapp.com. Every time you post here, you also email all customers subscribed to notifications about new features.
Best,
Carl
Seppe, I'm happy to say you can indeed already make any exercise hard, medium, or light. Here's how:
Tap Exercise (bottom bar)
Tap Exercises
Tap the big plus button (bottom right)
As you create your exercise, the app will ask "How hard should the exercise be?" Select hard, medium, or light. And you'll be good to go!
André, we already have a feature that's quite similar:
Tap More (bottom bar)
Tap Settings
Scroll down to Body part priority
Let me know if you had something else in mind. We believe your experience with us should be smooth and a solid 10/10. Thx!
