Hi Jay! Thanks for your suggestion and questions. The way challenges work right now, you get max one per body part per workout. So in your upper-body workout, you could get one for chest and one for biceps, but not two for chest. Would you rather have just one per workout, total? Please let me (and our other subscribers) know how you'd like this to work, so they vote for that suggestion if they like it. Thx!
Thanks for clarifying Chris. With that, I think more people will vote for this feature request. In the meantime, as a workaround, you can create any number of custom exercises in your account this way:
Tap Exercise (bottom bar)
Tap the big plus button
You can then add them on the fly to any workout by tapping Edit workout (top left).
Hi Chris. Can you tell us a bit more about about those, and what you're trying to accomplish with them?
Hi Joseph,
Martin is correct. (Thanks for chiming in, Martin!)
You can learn more about rest-pause sets at https://dr-muscle.com/rest-pause. If you'd rather do normal sets, you can toggle that in your global settings or for each exercise individually. For global:
Tap More (bottom bar)
Tap Settings
Scroll down to set style
For individual exercises:
Tap More (next to any exercise)
Tap Settings
Toggle on Use custom sets style
I hope that makes sense. Joseph, if you notice bugs, we'd rather you let us know at support@drmuscleapp.com (we usually fix them right away). So let's try to keep this forum and voting just for feature requests. I'm marking this one as completed.
I'm glad that works for you Joseph. Until this gets more votes, make sure you do the recommended reps and sets for easy exercise (not more, even if you can).
Hi Joseph. Hmm, that's odd. For easy exercises, are you doing the recommended reps and sets? Do you sometimes do more reps than suggested, or use a heavier weight?
To answer your question, yes, you could reset your easy exercises. Tap More > Settings > Scroll down > Reset history. But you would lose your history, so I'd rather determine why they're so hard for you and fix that instead. I'm guessing you're pushing them harder than the app recommends.
Best,
Carl
Great point -- we'll fix that this week. Look for an updated in beta/public in 1-2 weeks. Thx!
Hi,
We haven't started working on this suggestion and it only got 1 vote (we implement suggestions with the most votes first). In the meantime, I suggest you do the following:
1- Do upper-body workouts as normal
2- On lower-body workout days, tap "Finish and save workout" right away
3- When your program levels up, continue to work out as normal (your upper body needs the change)
Once your lower body is healed up, you can go back to your previous level that way:
Tap More (bottom bar)
Tap your name up top
Tap Change program
I hope this makes sense.
All the best,
Carl
Thank you for your suggestion Martin. Re your second point, you may prefer the graphs on our open-source extension: https://dashboard.dr-muscle.com/.
Will follow up again once this gets more votes. Thx!

Michael, you're right, but Jay also has a point. Without knowing how many challenges you'll get, it's hard to plan ahead. Jay, we've implemented you suggestion for 2 automated challenges maximum per workout. It's getting released in beta this week, and public next week. Thanks a lot for helping us improve the app. Best, Carl.
