Hi Joseph,
Martin is correct. (Thanks for chiming in, Martin!)
You can learn more about rest-pause sets at https://dr-muscle.com/rest-pause. If you'd rather do normal sets, you can toggle that in your global settings or for each exercise individually. For global:
Tap More (bottom bar)
Tap Settings
Scroll down to set style
For individual exercises:
Tap More (next to any exercise)
Tap Settings
Toggle on Use custom sets style
I hope that makes sense. Joseph, if you notice bugs, we'd rather you let us know at support@drmuscleapp.com (we usually fix them right away). So let's try to keep this forum and voting just for feature requests. I'm marking this one as completed.
I'm glad that works for you Joseph. Until this gets more votes, make sure you do the recommended reps and sets for easy exercise (not more, even if you can).
Hi Joseph. Hmm, that's odd. For easy exercises, are you doing the recommended reps and sets? Do you sometimes do more reps than suggested, or use a heavier weight?
To answer your question, yes, you could reset your easy exercises. Tap More > Settings > Scroll down > Reset history. But you would lose your history, so I'd rather determine why they're so hard for you and fix that instead. I'm guessing you're pushing them harder than the app recommends.
Best,
Carl
Great point -- we'll fix that this week. Look for an updated in beta/public in 1-2 weeks. Thx!
Hi,
We haven't started working on this suggestion and it only got 1 vote (we implement suggestions with the most votes first). In the meantime, I suggest you do the following:
1- Do upper-body workouts as normal
2- On lower-body workout days, tap "Finish and save workout" right away
3- When your program levels up, continue to work out as normal (your upper body needs the change)
Once your lower body is healed up, you can go back to your previous level that way:
Tap More (bottom bar)
Tap your name up top
Tap Change program
I hope this makes sense.
All the best,
Carl
Thank you for your suggestion Martin. Re your second point, you may prefer the graphs on our open-source extension: https://dashboard.dr-muscle.com/.
Will follow up again once this gets more votes. Thx!
Thanks for voting for this feature -- it's in beta!
Dr. Muscle now shows you your calories at the end of each workout, and on your History page (coming soon). Note that counting calories can help you burn fat, but that you must be careful not to eat too much to do so, even if you work out hard.
If you're in the beta:
On Android, you can already download the update. On iPhone? You'll have to wait 2-3 days for Apple to approve it. To update:
- Open the store app on your phone
- Search for Dr. Muscle
- Tap update
Not in the beta? Write back if you'd like to get in. Otherwise, you'll see a notification to update inside the app in 7-10 days when the public version comes out.
Now would be a great time to suggest and vote for our next feature. If you'd like to do that, please visit: https://muscle.userecho.com/communities/1-submit-your-feedback/topics#.
Really appreciate your support and advice. Thanks!

Thx for your honest feedback guys. I know some people dislike seeing things to add to their order like that. Other people actually add them -- some subscribers switched from monthly to annual that way and are happy customers today. The extra revenue helps us fund better features for the app, so everyone benefits. It's a hard balance to strike. Still, I can understand you didn't like the process, so I'll keep that in mind for when we redesign it. For now, I'm marking this as completed -- moving forward let's keep this forum for feature requests. Cheers.

Hi Chris. Can you tell us a bit more about about those, and what you're trying to accomplish with them?
